The girls in black met their match at Cleburne on Thursday, throwing down against the Lady Eagles of Brock in Round 2 of the Area playoffs. Despite their valiant efforts, however, the Knight were unable to get ahead of their opponent and bring home the win to move on. Ashlyn Eggleton stood strong in the circle, going five innings and striking out one. Hannah Griggs, Karah Cardinal, and Zoe Hawthorne each collected on hit each on the plate to keep Eagle Mountain in the fight. Sadly, the Lady Eagles managed to keep ahead and end off the Knights' playoff berth with a 0-10 final score. Though it was not as far as the ladies wanted to go, it was still a strong performance that ended off an even stronger season.
