In the first round against Springtown on Tuesday, the Knights faced a fierce opponent for control of the diamond. Both teams were on the board by the end of the first inning and tied with a single run each, Collin Heard and Chase Prosperi working in tandem to answer the early lead taken by the visitors. However, Springtown managed to pull ahead of the boys in white as the evening trucked on, slowly chipping away at the defense and pulling ahead by nine extra runs before the night was through. Though it was difficult way to end the first round, Eagle Mountain played hard at the plate and didn't let up, showing true grit in the face of adversity.
The Knights are away on Tuesday, April 7th, to duel against the Castleberry Lions.
