After a difficult loss last Tuesday, the Knights were chomping at the bit for a rematch against Decatur. It was an opportunity that came quickly only two days later as the last game before the break, and Eagle Mountain did not let up. Playing a scoreless game until the bottom of the fourth, the boys put their first run of the evening on the scoreboard with a team effort from Max Burris with a double, Chase Prosperi with a bunt single, and another single from Braeden Dehoyos that opened up home for the first of the trio. Three more runs were scored in the fifth and then two more in the sixth, putting the Knights up 6-0 where the score remained until the bottom of the ninth. On defense, the combination of great field work and a shutout performance from Caden Lewis kept the Knights ahead, finishing off the series with a 1-1 record.
The Knights are on the road Tuesday, April 22nd, going into a new series against Lake Worth.
