The inaugural season for Knights Cross Country came to a close last Thursday and already three school records were broken. Cailyn Johnson lowered the girls top time to 13:21, while Yodsgart Pacheco broke a record in just his 3rd race whose time was brought even lower soon after by Malachi Johnson to 20:19.83 in his first ever cross-country meet. In addition, 18 athletes set new personal bests, 2/3rds of all of whom competed. Way to go, Knights! Head coaches Cody Schroeder and Matthew Speight expressed great pride in the athletes and the future of the cross-country program, saying “…the future is bright for the Knights and [we] will look to set high expectations in year 2.”
