The Lady Knights played hard Friday against the visiting Springtown, keeping their opponents on their toes through all four sets that were played. Sadly, however, the evening didn't go their way and the girls came out the other side with a tough 1-3 final score. The first round was theirs, ending in a comfortable 25-18, but Springtown was able to punch back in the next with a score of 17-25. Staggered but still standing, Eagle Mountain fought tooth and nail to keep pace with the Porcupines and leave them scrambling. In the end, the last two matches proved to be the closest of the evening, the final scores coming out to 21-25 and 20-25 respectively.
Coach Catherine Foerster admitted it was a rough night for the Lady Knights, but express how the team was ready to bounce back in the week to come. They'll get their chance soon, heading to Castleberry on Tuesday, Sept. 24th, for another match of district play.
