Despite the beautiful weather, Tuesday marked a difficult defeat for the Knights, coming out the other side with a final score of 0-19. However, Coach Leslie Crook expressed her pride in the athletes' performance. "Although the score is not indicative of the battle these kids had, they played hard," she said. "[They] rallied with their opponents, some lost in close tie breakers... they did the best they could."
She went on to say that everyone who competed learned not only a lot about the game but about their capabilities as athletes, noting that they all have the heart and desire to win which will come around if they keep playing like they did on Tuesday.
Next week, Sept. 17th, the Knights head to Lake Worth for another round of district matches:
