EMS ISD Athletics is pleased to announce Catherine Foerster as the inaugural Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Athletic Coordinator at Eagle Mountain High School. Foerster, a highly accomplished and experienced coach, brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for the game that is sure to elevate the school’s athletic program.

“We are extremely excited to have Coach Foerster leading our Eagle Mountain High School volleyball program,” said Tricia Leavitt, EMS ISD Assistant Athletic Director. “She has had great success in the past and I look forward to seeing our program flourish under her leadership.”

With 15 years of teaching and coaching experience, Coach Foerster has spent 13 years as a head volleyball coach. For the past four years, she has served as the Assistant Athletic Director and Head Volleyball Coach at Decatur. During her tenure at Decatur, Foerster achieved numerous accolades including being named TSWA Coach of the Year and District 7-4A Coach of the Year multiple times. Her coaching excellence was further evident with four undefeated District titles and nine appearances in the Regional Tournament. Foerster’s commitment to excellence and the development of student-athletes has consistently produced remarkable results including the Lady Eagles winning the 4A State Championships back-to-back in 2020 and 2021.

Prior coaching stops include Hereford ISD and North Zulch ISD. At Hereford, Foerster taught pre-athletics and was the head volleyball coach. Her achievements included reaching the 4A State Finals and 5A Regional Semi-Finals. In her role as the Head Volleyball coach at North Zulch, Foerster made history leading the team to become District Champions and 1A Regional Finalists for the first time in school history.

A proud alumnus of Hereford High School, Foerster graduated in 2003. In volleyball, she played in three State Championships with two State Champion wins. She also received All-State honors twice and was a three-time First Team All-District member.

Foerster earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas A&M University. Additionally, she attended Lubbock Christian University, where she not only pursued her education but also played at the NAIA National Volleyball Championship Tournament.

Foerster is married to her husband, Jason, they have three children, Everhett 6, Emery 4 and Ellie 3. Coach Foerster expressed her enthusiasm for joining the Knights community, “My family and I are thrilled about the opportunity to be part of the Eagle Mountain family and Armor Up!”
