The Knights' duel against Benbrook went absolutely fantastic in both rounds of play. After defeating the Lady Bobcats 18-1 in their first meeting, Eagle Mountain took to the field on Friday eager to repeat the performance. And repeat they did when scoring opened up in the first inning thanks to a single by Karah Cardinal, bringing home two runs and setting the girls in black on the pathway to victory. A sacrifice fly by Isabel Little and another single by Ashlyn Eggleton extended the early lead in the second, but the true jump came in the fourth when the Knights scored a whopping seven runs! From the circle, Eggleton played fantastic defense, giving up only one hit and one run over five innings while striking out six and walking none.
More details on their advancement to the Area Playoff soon to come!
