Hosting the Lady Lions of Castleberry on Tuesday, the Knights were out in full force to celebrate their seniors and send them off with a final home game win to remember. From the onset, Eagle Mountain was bound and determined to repeat their earlier triumph against the Lady Lions, and it showed in the intensity of their performance. The evening was off to a strong start as Ashlyn Eggleton took the circle, ringing up 11 strikeouts over the course of the game, allowing zero hits or runs over four innings. In the bottom of the first, Zoe Hawthorne crushed a solo homerun to put the girls in black up on the board for a early lead, followed shortly by Olivia Wilson with another inside-the-park homerun, Payton Soriano smashing a triple to score two runs, and Hannah Griggs hitting a sacrifice fly for one run. The score only continued to climb in favor of the Knights as the innings went on, and with a total of 12 hits overall, Eagle Mountain pulled away with a comfortable 15-0 win
Next up for the Knights is their second bout against Decatur, taking the challenge on the road on Friday, April 10th.
