The Knights stood strong on their home turf last Tuesday, taking on a visiting Decatur Team. Eagle Mountain came out swinging, chalking up a huge point lead in just the first inning. Zoe Hawthorne struck a homerun out to left field, Ava Balentine singled to right field, Ashlyn Eggleton tripled down the left field line, and Karah Cardinal singled to center field, each of the girls scoring one point, and a sacrifice fly by Payton Soriano, extended the lead to 5-1 for the Knights in the bottom of the third. Though their opponents were able to close the gap, it was not enough to put them over the top. Eggleton dominated the circle, ringing up 11 strikeouts over five innings!
The Knights are back at home on Tuesday, March 24th, for their first meeting with the ladies of Springtown.
