Hosting the annual EMS Tournament, Eagle Mountain stepped out onto the mat in a unique position, being the youngest program out of all those in attendance. Even so, they did not let this deter them in their pursuit of victory. The boys in black wrestled hard and were able to place in the top ten at day two's end. Jayceon Gray and Caison McCauley gave stand out performances that earned them 4th and 6th place, respectively, in their individual weight classes. The girls also proved to be a formidable foe. Bringing home a 7th place team finish, Ty'Asia Buxton led the fight and went nearly flawless over the two day period with five wins and only one loss to claim silver. Her opponents followed closely behind her, Lily Cowan placing 2nd, Safa Razi placing 3rd, Bristol Busch placing 4th, and London Wyatt rounding them out with a final 4th place victory.
The gentlemen are away at Boswell on Saturday, December 20th, while the ladies heed to Birdville.
