The Knights once again made history Thursday by advancing into a Regional Finals playoff berth! It was an anxiety-filled matchup at the Semi-Finals as the girl in black took the court against Canyon High School, an old rival from their previous playoff run. In year's past, Eagle Mountain fell to the Lady Eagles in a shutout defeat that brought their incredibly successful inaugural season to a close. History, however, was not destined to repeat, as the Knights brought with them the momentum that follows an undefeated district season and handily defeated their opponent in a complete reversal of their previous meeting. Set one was close, with Canyon holding fast to the Knights' surge ahead in a 25-18 conclusion, but the following second and third rounds resulted in a point gap that gradually increased with each bout, ending with final scores of 25-14 and 25-10 respectively. With all three sets decisively going to them, the Knights clenched the long-coveted Regional Semi-Finalist title and another 3-0 victory to add to their extensive collection.
