After a three-day tournament in Pearland, the Lady Knights found themselves on the familiar turf of their home court this week , facing off against the Peaster Lady Greyhounds. From the first serve, Eagle Mountain was in their element. With Molly Aubert and Cambri Chukes leading the team in assists and aces respectively, the girls kept a steady pace ahead of their opponent that consistently had them putting up winning numbers. Only once did Peaster come close to closing the gap, putting up a fierce fight in the first match, but ultimately falling behind the Lady Knights 25-20. The latter two sets saw the ladies putting much greater distance between the teams' scores. Game two ended in the widest margin with a 25-13 victory, and the third and final showdown earned Eagle Mountain a flawless match win with a final score of 25-16. It was a great way to start off not only the season but the first full week back to school. Way to go, Knights!
The Lady Knights are back on the road Thursday, heading to Northwest High School for another three-day bout.
