Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD Athletics proudly announces D’Shanna Brown as the new Head Girls Basketball Coach at Eagle Mountain High School. Coach Brown brings over 13 years of coaching experience and an impressive record of building successful, competitive programs across Texas.

“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Brown as the new head coach at Eagle Mountain High. With a proven track record of leadership, innovation, and deep understanding of the game, Coach Brown brings the vision and energy needed to guide our team to the next level. We are excited for what the future holds under her leadership,” said Tricia Leavitt, Assistant Athletic Director for Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.

Brown joins Eagle Mountain from Atascocita High School, where she most recently served as Head Girls' Basketball Coach. Prior to that, she led the program at Churchill Fulshear High School and held key coaching roles at Karen Wagner High School and her alma mater, Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

Throughout her career, Brown has led her teams to numerous postseason successes, including three State Semi-Final appearances, multiple Regional, Area, and Bi-District Championships, and a string of undefeated district titles. In 2022, she was honored as the District 24-5A Coach of the Year.
A former standout collegiate athlete, Coach Brown holds the steals record at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and was a two-time Athletic All-Conference selection in the Southeast Conference. She is also a member of the university’s 1000 point club and was named the top female athlete in 2005.

Brown holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Sport Science with a minor in Psychology from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She and her husband, Brandon, have three children Ky’Lee, Kaden, and Bella Mae.
