Erinn Jayjohn
Coach Erinn
Jayjohn is entering her 12th year of coaching and 11th year of teaching in
2024 at Eagle Mountain High School. Coach Jayjohn graduated from
Northwest High School in Justin, TX in 2009 and from the University of
Mississippi in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature where she
also played softball. She graduated with her Master’s in Coaching and
Recreation Science from Ohio University in the Fall of 2020.
Prior to joining Eagle
Mountain High School, she spent four record-breaking years at Timber Creek High
School in Keller ISD. Records included the first District Championship in
school history, strikeouts in a season and game, and multiple home run records.
She was a part of the 2021 District 4-6A Coaching Staff of the Year while at
Timber Creek. Coach Jayjohn started her high school coaching career at her alma
mater; Northwest High School. She then began her head coaching
career at Granbury High School in 2015, where she helped the Pirates to their
first playoff run in seven years in 2017, and was named the District 9-5A Coach
of the Year. Jayjohn then helped begin the softball program at Harlan
High School (San Antonio) in 2017. Coach Jayjohn also worked as the JV
Volleyball Coach at Timber Creek with six years of coaching and six years of
playing experience on the court.
Before relocating back to Texas, Coach Jayjohn was an assistant coach and
pitching coach at Southern Arkansas University (SAU) for their 2015 season
where she helped lead the Muleriders to win their first-ever conference
championship in the Great American Conference. In addition to this
accomplishment, Coach Jayjohn’s leadership lent to the Muleriders softball team
breaking multiple SAU school records, and coaching two D2 All-American Pitchers.
As a player at Ole Miss,
Coach Jayjohn spent her time pitching in relief, playing first base and as a
designated hitter. She was voted unanimous team captain as a senior in
the 2013 season and was also a nominee for the Rebel Awards, Hotty Toddy Award
for Sportsmanship and Character. During her time at Northwest High, Coach
Jayjohn lettered all four years, was voted team captain as a junior and a
senior, and accumulated many accolades including District MVP in 2008 and
Pitcher of the Year in 2009.
Coach Jayjohn has the experience of playing competitive softball for over 20
years. Her love and passion for the game have driven her to become a
leader for future players and coaches alike and looks forward to continuing to
work with the Knights of Eagle Mountain High School.
