Scott Richardson
Scott Richardson joins Eagle Mountain High School as the Head Boys Basketball Coach, bringing with him a wealth of experience and success. Currently leading the basketball program at Tolar High School, Richardson guided the team to a record-breaking season with an impressive 30 wins, culminating in their first-ever Regional Finals appearance.
Prior to his tenure at Tolar, Richardson achieved success as head coach in various schools including Christoval, Waco Robinson, Axtell and Abbott. With over 400 wins under his belt, Richardson has led teams to the Regional round 13 times and was honored as the 2013 TABC 3A Coach of the Year. His expertise extends beyond the court, as evidenced by his acclaimed article for Texas Coach, which earned the prestigious 2023 Article of the Year award.
Off the court, Richardson finds joy in family life, sharing 23 years of marriage with his wife, Karen. They have two children: Kordell, proudly serving in the United States Army, and Karley, pursuing her passion for culinary arts at TSTC. Coach Richardson is excited to embark on this new journey with Knight Basketball and his call to action in chasing excellence.
