Rhonda Jackson
With 22 years of teaching and coaching experience, Coach Jackson has spent 22 year coaching basketball and teaching English, AVID or PE. For the past nine years, she has served as the head girls basketball coach at Kennedale High School. During her tenure at Kennedale, she continued the winning tradition making playoff appearances every year as a head coach. She also has been a part of several schools that have made it to the regional tournament; including Crowley and Arlington Seguin.
Jackson's other coaching stops include Burleson, Crowley and Arlington Seguin. She graduated high school from Calallen High School where she played all four years on varsity basketball and then continued to play basketball at Texas Wesleyan University on a full athletic scholarship. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Communications and a Journalism degree. She then went into sales for two years before deciding she missed basketball and wanted to make a difference in kids' lives and attended Texas Wesleyan for education classes and a teaching certificate.
Jackson is married to her husband, Erley, and they have four children, Reagan (19), Kenzie (17), Tanson (13), and Tinley (12). Her oldest daughter, Reagan, is currently playing at the University of Cincinnati on a full basketball scholarship. “I am thrilled to be named the new head coach at Eagle Mountain High and to bring my family into the district as well. I look forward to building up the program and new relationships within the district,” said Jackson.
